THE VINTAGE CROSS-COUNTRY SKI BOOK

The Vintage Cross-Country Ski Book is the collection of old ski equipment in order to retrieve what can be considered a true historical heritage and to promote the interest in cross-country skiing of past times.  Collectors and ski enthusiasts, old and young people, are now looking for “vintage” equipment in any way, from the attic of grandparents to the flea markets or to the most modern internet. The purpose of the research is finding cross-country skis and shoes preceding the year 1976, to contribute to the collection and to participate in the Marcialonga Story, the vintage event that allows to use them again and to bring them to a new glory.

Up to now, the register counts 400 pairs of skis, strictly catalogued with all the details: picture, brand, model, year of production, colour, state of use, eventual number, bindings.

Ski and equipment evaluation is possible all year long at the Marcialonga headquarters in Predazzo or at the race office in January: the Story Village is the ideal time to share with other enthusiasts the precious historical and affective importance of the skis.
