Marcialonga 50x50

For the celebrations of the fiftieth edition of the Marcialonga and during the same race scheduled for Sunday 29 January 2023, the event called Marcialonga 50 x 50 will take place.

The event is reserved to the maximum number of 50 (fifty) competitors. The participant must cover the entire 70km course of Marcialonga with equipment and clothing dating back to 1971, the year of the first edition, or before:
- wood skis
- bindings of 75 mm
- bamboo poles
- ski suit of the 70’s.

The nominal fee of 2,58€ corresponds to the entry fee of the 1st Marcialonga (5.000 Lire).  

The Start is in Moena at 7.00 a.m., one hour before the start of the 50th Marcialonga, to ski at least for the first few kilometres in perfect solitude at sunrise, with perfectly prepared slopes and in contact with nature, on a day that promises to be epic.

USEFUL INFORMATION

WHO MAY ENTER THE EVENT?

All male and female skiers from 18 years old may enter the event, up to the reaching of the maximum number of participants. Each skier must have the old equipment and clothing dating back to 1971 (or older).

HOW CAN I ENTER?

Entries are possible online and must be completed with the requested details. 
The entry-fee is 5.000 Lire, that is 2,50 € that corresponds to the fee of the first edition of Marcialonga.

RACE OFFICE AND BIBS COLLECTION

Start-numbers must be collected at the Race Office in Cavalese (Palafiemme Congress Centre).

Thursday 26th           3.00 p.m. – 7.00 p.m.
Friday 27th                  9.00 a.m. – 7.00 p.m.
Saturday 28th             9.00 a.m. – 7.00 p.m.

In order to collect the bib, it is necessary to show the ID document. The bib collection is strictly personal, and the picture will be published on the website marcialonga.it

IS THERE A RANKING?

There will be a special ranking for the event 50x50; the participants who will finish the race will be also included in the ranking of the 50^th Marcialonga. To be ranked it is necessary to finish the race without a private assistance.

WHEN DOES THE RACE START?

The start in Moena will be given at 7.00, one hour before the start of the 50^th Marcialonga. The check-in is obligatory, and it is from 6.30 a.m. at reserved entrance called “Elite Group”. During the check in will be controlled the equipment and the clothing. 
Before the start there will be the official photography.

MAY I LEFT MY STUFF AT THE START?

In the starting area it is possible to deliver the clothes bag that will be returned in Cavalese. 

ARE THERE TIME GATES?

Time gates will be the same of Marcialonga: Canazei at 12.30 p.m., Pozza di Fassa at 1.45 p.m., Predazzo at 3.30 p.m., Molina at 5.30 p.m.

ARE THERE FEEDING STATIONS?

There will be feeding stations pointed out on the profile map of the 50th Marcialonga. 

WHICH SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE AT THE FINISH?

After passing the finish line the competitor receives the medal. The following services are available: first-aid station, clothes bag claim, ski depot, bus (until 7 p.m.), pasta party.
